Swedish pattern 'ritbestick' or drawing set. Missing the protractor and brass rule in the lid. The case is missing the hook catches. Dating uncertain, but the wing thumb screws are not an indication of an early age as in other countries. In Sweden the "Svensk typ" or Swedish pattern drawing instruments continued to be produced throughout the 19th century. The wing thumb screws were eventually superseded by round thumb screws, but at which date this occurred is still a matter of speculation. That being said, there is a Svensk typ drawing set belonging to Magnus Walfrid Ullman in the Teknisk Museum with a stated purchase date of 1870. Case 182x63x21mm.
